This mid-block, red-brick apartment building was erected in 1964. The 18-story cooperative has 148 units. Pets are allowed, as are pied-a-terres, parents buying for children, co-purchasing, and guarantors. Amenities include a doorman, laundry room, bike room, resident super, and roof deck. 

The building is across the street from a large, undeveloped blockfront on the avenue occupied by a garden furniture store adjacent to a small "ventilating" structure for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The building has a one-story, white-brick base and a canopied entrance with a rakishly angle stainless steel canopy. It has no balconies.

This is a very dense and active area of the Upper East Side with heavy traffic heading south on Second Avenue to the Queensborough Bridge at 59th Street. With the rebuilding of Third Avenue with many luxury apartment towers, however, the area has gained in popularity and has many neighborhood services, including Bloomingdale's  movie theaters, and a lively ambiance. It is only one block away from the F, Q, and 6 trains.
