Marketing has started for Tompkins East Condominium, a 12-unit development at 631 East 9th Street.

The mid-block, 6-story project between Avenues B and C was designed by Arpad Baksa for Dart Realty of which Jona Szarpiro is a member.

The building has roof terraces and storage bins and most apartments have exterior space and private key elevator access.

Bathrooms have radiant floor heating.

One-bedroom units were priced initially at about $875,000 and two-bedroom apartments started at about $1,125,000.

Apartments have bay windows and Miele appliances and washers/dryers.

The building, which is very close to Tompkins Square Park, has a entrance marquee and discrete air-conditioners.

There is good crosstown bus service one block to the north and there are numerous attractive community gardens in the area.
