Architectural firm ODA New York is known for its modern designs that present creative, if not provocative, interpretations of city zoning codes. A stone's throw from 15 Union Square West, ODA's transformation of the Tiffany & Company headquarters, work is winding down on 101 West 14th Street, a "Tetris-inspired" condominium located on the former site of a mid-century bank building and developed by Gemini Rosemont. According to marketing materials, 101 West 14th Street “unites four Manhattan neighborhoods in one excellent new building.” Indeed, it is well situated on the borders of Greenwich Village, Chelsea, Union Square, and the Flatiron District, home of some of New York’s most critically acclaimed restaurants, high-end shopping, and eclectic cultural offerings. The F/M and PATH trains and a bus lane are right on the corner, and the building is a short walk from the 1 train and the 4/5/6, N/Q/R/W and L trains at Union Square.

It is also the latest in the luxury condo boom that has hit West 14th Street. A block to the west, D’Orsay only has one listing, a one-bedroom for $1.65 million. Just up the street, listings at the LEED Gold-certified Village Green West start at $3.4 million. Further west, availabilities at 345 Meatpacking range from $1.9 million for a one-bedroom to $5 million for a three-bedroom penthouse with a large private terrace.
