While developers are seeking new trendy neighborhoods to sink their teeth in, some are still opting for small projects in little-known areas – like Weeksville. Isaac Hirsch of JIH Builders Group LLC filed permits in September last year for a 10-unit, 4-story and penthouse building at 1520 Prospect Place.

Samuel Wieder Architects has just revealed the project's design on Instagram, set to rise between Buffalo Avenue and Rochester Avenue. Nothing too special in terms of amenities, but the floor schedule does call for some sort of outdoor recreation space (225 square feet). There will be three units on the ground floor, two units each on floors 2-4 and just one penthouse unit. The apartments will average just 697 square feet, indicative of rentals.

Weeksville, which neighbors Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville, and Crown Heights, has seen just a couple of small residential projects in the past few months.
