DDG and Global Holdings' exquisite 180 East 88th Street is now past its halfway mark, approximately 30 stories up. Slated to top out at 50 stories, the tower will reign as the tallest building in Manhattan north of 72nd Street at 524 feet tall.
Of the building’s 48 loft through five-bedroom layouts, there are currently five availabilities, with 2 two-bedroom units starting from $3.595 million, 2 three-bedroom units starting from $4.585 million, and one four-bedroom unit for $7.25 million
Situated between Lexington and Third Avenue, the tower’s design strays from its tall glass counterparts sprinkled throughout the city. Instead, 180 East 88th Street stands out with its hand-laid Kolumba brickwork, 9x9-foot windows, and stunning concrete catenary arches at its ground-, mid-, and crowning levels.
Boasting a canopied entrance on Third Avenue and mid-block frontage on 88th, the building will beckon residents through a landscaped path, shielded by a sculptural bronze canopy and leading into a vaulted lobby. This unmatched attention to detail is carried throughout the building’s 48 residences, which average at over 2,000 square feet apiece. Herringbone-patterned brickwork along the building’s north elevation will be mirrored inside with herringbone floors imported specially from Austria.

According to renderings, the amenity spaces will far from disappoint as well. 180 East 88th Street will be home to a fitness room, a partial basketball court, a children’s playroom, and a wine room.
Perks abound in the surrounding Carnegie Hill neighborhood as well. The building stands in close proximity to Central Park, Museum Mile, the Second Avenue subway at 86th Street.
