Contrary to what Hudson Yards, Waterline Square, and Essex Crossing would have some believe, new mega-developments are not limited to Manhattan. Tangram, a transformative new development in Flushing, is living proof of that. The 192 units in Tangram House South sold quickly, and construction topped out on its 13-story counterpart, Tangram House West, earlier this spring.

All 132 units boast interiors by JG Neukomm Architecture. efficient layouts, elegant lines, incredible light, and views of the Manhattan skyline or lush gardens. Additional features include ceilings up to 11 feet high, French oak floors, in-unit washer/dryers, walk-in closets, baths with elegantly designed features, and kitchens with custom cabinetry and Miele appliances. Many apartments have private balconies, and studios come with the option to buy fully built out with custom furniture.

Tangram House West has an 8,000-square-foot health and wellness club includes a 60-foot-long indoor saltwater lap pool, an indoor vitality pool, and spa facilities with sauna and salt room. Additional amenities include a one-acre garden with skylight, a Japanese sand garden with class area, a 3,500-square-foot teahouse-inspired Pavilion with seating lounges and reflection areas, a library and lounge, indoor and outdoor children’s play areas, a dog run, an outdoor tennis court, and outdoor grills with seating and dining areas.

While the new housing at Tangram hopes to establish Flushing as a residential destination, its 24,000-square-foot food hall will cement Flushing's growing status as a foodie's paradise. The Beer Assembly, a new beer garden from Todd Leong, will blend seamlessly with the food hall and showcase a selection of craft beers from around the world paired with a food menu inspired by skewers. Guests will also have the option to peruse the rest of the food hall and bring their meals to the beer garden to enjoy with a drink.

In addition to The Beer Assembly, Tangram is getting ready to welcome the first North American outpost of Xiao Long Kan Hot Pot, one of China's largest and most popular hot pot chains. The restaurant has committed to a 5,000-square-foot flagship where friends and family can gather around a steaming pot of its signature spicy, delicious creations.
Tangram was named after a popular Chinese puzzle and designed to appeal to this market, but people all over the world will appreciate the luxe interiors, impressive amenities, rapidly rising Flushing community, and easy access to Manhattan. In addition to the condos and the food hall, the project will have a hotel, an office tower, retail space, and a 4D multiplex, Flushing’s first movie theater in 30 years.
