Long Island City has recently transformed from an industrial area to a highly desired neighborhood, and the Queens Plaza area is in the midst of a residential renaissance. The latest example can be found at 41-21 28th Street, where a former two-story warehouse has been converted to a 16-story mixed-use building developed by All Year Management. Construction topped out last September, and The Court Square Blog just announced that façade work is finished. Meshberg Group designed a timeless brick façade that pays homage to the light-industrial factory buildings that once populated the area.
The mixed-use building will have 675 square feet of commercial space and 166 apartments on top. All apartments will have nearly floor-to-ceiling windows, and select units will have private balconies. Amenities will include 55 parking spaces, bike space, storage, a laundry room, a lounge, and a common roof deck.
41-21 28th Street is across the street from Jet Blue headquarters and a short walk from top area schools. Between its close access to two subway stations, nearby bike path and Citi Bike Station, and easy access to the Queensboro Bridge, residents will have a host of commuting options.
