Just around the corner from the Main Street-Flushing 7 train station, a new rental development under construction is adding more than 200 units to the downtown Flushing neighborhood. The site was most recently a municipal parking lot but the city worked with Monadnock Development to bring affordable housing to this central area of Queens where there is an abundance of public transit and walkable streets. Bernheimer Architecture crafted a 10-story structure with 231 apartments, a 6,000 SF community center and 29,000 SF of mixed in small and mid-sized spaces. SLCE is listed on permits as the applicant of record.
