Features
The Gild is a nearly-finished condominium development in Midtown's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood that lives up to its lustrous name (so far). Positioned between Ninth and Tenth Avenues at 441 West 54th Street, the seven-story building features a radiant facade of slatted aluminum panels, brass-colored louvers, and operable floor-to-ceiling windows arranged in an irregular pattern. The architect behind it is Eran Chen's ODA New York, a relatively new but eminent firm that has been involved in over a dozen striking new condo buildings across the city.
Sales are imminent on building's 28 one- to three-bedroom residences, designed to seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor spaces. With a maximum of four residences per floor, half of the apartments will feature private outdoor spaces, predominantly in the form of balconies. Additionally, three penthouses will boast sizable terraces, while three townhouse units will offer private backyards.

Interiors are yet to be revealed, but given the asking prices, we anticipate they will boast plenty of standout features and beautifully crafted finishes. The teaser site explains, "Expansive gliding windows, private outdoor sanctuaries, and tactile Japanese-inspired materials," will create a "soothing, ethereal environment."
The accepted offering plan indicates that prices will lean toward the high end, with one-bedrooms starting at $1.395 million, two-bedrooms at $2.15 million, and three-bedrooms at $3.695 million. With a blended price per square foot of $2,667, it's essential to note that this isn't the Hell's Kitchen of the 90s or of West Side Story.

Amenities will include a bike room, gym, and a double-height lobby overlooking a landscaped skywell. Given the project's inspiration from Japanese architecture, a tranquil rock garden wouldn't be surprising. There are three common outdoor spaces, designed to "promote intentional mindfulness and self-care, tailored to cultivate one's best self," according to the sales team.
Situated on a low-rise block, the building benefits from protection against high-rise development due to the height-limited zoning of the Hell's Kitchen Special District area. The block receives ample sunlight, ensuring the building glistens for the foreseeable future. The location is convenient to the CBS Studios complex, various auto showrooms, and the Theater District. Columbus Circle, Central Park, Dewitt Clinton Park, and Hudson River Park are all within close proximity.
Other new and notable condominiums in the area include Stella Tower, The Dillon, Griffin Court, NINE52, and 424 West 52nd Street. Find below some notable availabilities in the aforementioned buildings.
