A long-planned rental development at 178 North 11th Street has finally revealed its design by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects. Positioned in the middle of its block between Driggs and Bedford avenues, the site is located around the corner from McCarren Park and the shops of Bedford Avenue. Great Point Properties is listed as the developer.
Approved permits first filed in 2014 state the building will rise 7-floors and accommodate 37 units across 27,000 square feet of residential floor area. Per the rendering, the exterior will possess a mixture of gray brick, oxidized green-colored panels and large windows. As required by zoning, much of the building will rise flush to the streetwall, and a setback at the sixth floor will provide outdoor opportunities for occupants. The ground floor will feature one retail space and parking for 24 cars.
