Prices are holding steady, but New York rents remain lofty (Aire, #27G - Rose Associates)
At the beginning of March 2023, CityRealty listings show 4,744 units for rent throughout Manhattan, northern Brooklyn, western Queens, and parts of the Bronx. The Manhattan median rent comes to $4,877/month, and Brooklyn offers a slight respite with a median rent of $3,951/month.

Apartment List's March Rent Report shows that New York ranks as the 15th most expensive city in the United States, but are nevertheless down from the stratospheric highs of 2021 and summer 2022. Seasonal patterns indicate that rent could tick up in the coming months, but market conditions could prevent runaway inflation.
