As our architecture critic Carter Horsley notes, "one of the most important Upper West Side intersections" is where Broadway meets West 72nd Street. It represents the vibrancy of the neighborhood, an area with plenty of shops, dining and entertainment, and is also home to the handsome express subway stations that help to create radiating New York energy.

The intersection is also home to The Corner, a luxury rental building that opened in 2010 and is currently leasing with 1 month of free rent or 1 month OP. Listings show studios start at $3,230/month, 1-bedrooms at $4,893/month, 2-bedrooms at $8,125/month and 3-bedrooms at $18,00/month. The Corner has apartments with unique layouts and handsome interiors, along with a full-service amenity package. Convenient retailers, including Trader Joe's and Duane Reade, are located at its base.

Home here offer high ceilings (between 9 and 11 feet), expansive tilt windows (especially on corner units), along with hardwood floors, oversized closets and custom fixtures. All units come equipped with a Bosch washer/dryer, and select units have private terraces and wine storage. Kitchens offer Caesarstone countertops, Liebherr refrigerators, and GE appliances including a dishwasher and microwave. Included in the amenity package is a 10,000-square-foot roof deck, a fitness center, and a lounge that serves breakfast and coffee daily. There is also an attended lobby with concierge and valet services, and pets are welcome.

The Corner has an award-winning design by Handel Architects, who served as architects for the development from Gotham Organization, Philips International and Rhodes NY. Andres Escobar designed the interiors, and the building also holds a LEED Silver certification. Located at 200 West 72nd Street, it's one block south of Verdi Square and two avenues from Central Park.
