Don Imus' former Central park apartment at The Chatham Court via Brown Harris Stevens Don Imus' former Central park apartment at The Chatham Court via Brown Harris Stevens
When New York's market softens, even the most prestigious buildings are not immune. But the heyday of pre-war parkside co-ops is clearly not over judging by these still near-record asking prices.

Over the past week, 481 sales listings in Manhattan and northern Brooklyn experienced price reductions. These include apartments in some of New York's most well-known buildings, not to mention a Central Park penthouse at The Chatham Court owned by radio shock jock Don Imus (last on the list). Despite its scale, views, and uniqueness, the majestic spread has been on the market for a whopping 972 days. Is it the decor that could be straight out of the Shining? Perhaps. Nevertheless, please be advised that all prices below show cumulative reductions and not the most recent cut from the past week.
