Make storage a snap with these Manhattan and Brooklyn apartments with dedicated storage units

There is generous storage space throughout this home, and it comes with its own storage unit. (108 East 82nd Street, #7C - Douglas Elliman) There is generous storage space throughout this home, and it comes with its own storage unit. (108 East 82nd Street, #7C - Douglas Elliman)
The saying goes that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, but it’s anyone’s guess how March will come in this year in New York City. The weather forecast has predictions of snow showers, rain, 55 degrees and sunny, and 40 degrees and cloudy over the next few days alone. This weather has made events hard to plan (this year’s Winter Jam, a winter sports event traditionally set at Central Park, was canceled) in addition to outfits.

This is especially the case for people with limited closet space who have been forced to rotate the wardrobes they keep in their apartments between clothes for cold and hot weather. Not only can the cost of a storage unit add up quickly, but there is the logistical challenge of figuring out when to retrieve the items, what’s worth taking out, and where to keep them in a small apartment.

Many of these hurdles, though, are easily overcome when the storage space is in the same building as one’s apartment. Some buildings charge extra for storage, but these units come with storage space just an elevator ride away.
