Art Deco tower One Hundred Barclay has gotten a touch of modernity with a model unit by acclaimed Australian designer Tim Godbold. He was inspired by the decadence of the 1980s and the graphic art of Keith Haring, and the vintage furnishings and contemporary accessories bring the era’s opulence to mind. However, the use of a simple color palette, rustic accents, and natural materials provides a balance and makes for a chic look. The model unit’s spacious rooms, 10-foot ceilings, and custom-stained white oak flooring serve as a magnificent backdrop to Mr. Godbold’s designs. Oversized, double-hung windows in the 23rd-floor unit let in abundant natural light and stunning city views. The apartment is outfitted with custom details and top-of-the-line finishes and appliances (including an in-unit washer/dryer).

The luxurious apartments are supplemented by white-glove service and over 40,000 square feet of amenity space. Appropriately enough for Verizon’s former headquarters, One Hundred Barclay is the first residential building to offer one-gig-per-second internet speed. Luxury publication Robb Report has included its climate-controlled wine lockers, tasting room, and sommelier service in an article about the ultimate homes for oenophiles. The club level on the 18th floor is home to a lounge with bar and dining room, children’s playroom, teen lounge, media room, music rooms, and four outdoor terraces. Residents can also enjoy a fitness center, 82-foor heated lap pool, steam room and sauna, and spa treatment rooms.
Unsurprisingly, the building quickly attracted interest and only a small handful of apartments remain on the market. Two-bedrooms start at $3.5 million; three-bedrooms at $4.173 million; and four-bedrooms at $5.225 million.
