Over the past few years, the Upper West Side’s residential building boom has transformed both the local skyline and real estate landscape with towering new condominiums offering high-end interiors and an extensive array of amenities. While these new attractions have attracted an array of luxury buyers and accounted for two of the top five sales of the past week, they have also drawn attention away from other residential buildings in the area. As such, some sellers have reduced prices to attract attention in this increasingly crowded market.
From January 24-30, 2024, just over 200 sales listings throughout New York experienced price reductions. A selection of notable listings, a number of which may be found on the Upper West Side, may be seen below along with a full chart of last week’s price cuts. Please be advised that all quoted figures reflect cumulative price reductions as opposed to the most recent discounts.
