The Row Still Reigns
In the recently-released CityRealty 100 report looking at sales over the past year, the high-profile "Billionaire's Row" standout 432 Park Avenue snagged the second most expensive condo spot, just bested by 15 Central Park West. The Rafael Viñoly-designed building did, however, have the two highest individual sales; this week's top ($38M) sale reflects the tall tower's enduring power. Find out what the week's biggest buys were, below.4 beds, 6+ baths
What can you say about a penthouse on the 81st floor of the city's tallest residential tower? With 5,421 square feet and four bedrooms offering panoramic views of Manhattan, a corner master bedroom suite overlooking Central Park and across the Hudson, a private elevator landing and 10-foot-by-10-foot windows, we can't imagine ever wanting to leave home. This sky-mansion was, like most in the building, purchased by an anonymous buyer who paid $37,745,776 for the privilege.
4 Bedrooms, 4.5 Bathrooms
Penthouse number 55 has been seeing a lot of the real estate market these days: The eight-figure pad in Tribeca's Herzog & DeMeuron-designed "Jenga Tower" sold for $21.8 million back in March and returned to the market for a beefed-up $28 million the next month. The four-bedroom, 5,186-square-foot home may not have gotten that ask, but for $26,500,000, we'd imagine the flipper was pleased.
2 beds, 3.5 baths
While it may not be on the 81st floor, this 3,575-square-foot, three-bedroom residence doesn't come up short with over 12-foot ceilings and 10-foot-by-10-foot windows offering three exposures with similar views of Central Park and the city skyline—for almost $10 million less than the higher floor.
