A vacant lot at 44 East 132nd Street in East Harlem will transform into a new eight-story, 12-unit residential building. The site, between Madison and Park avenues, has recently begun excavation work and is located near an entrance to Harlem River Drive. Developers, LGS Partners bought the site for just $200,000 in 2014 and filed plans shortly thereafter. C3D Architecture is listed as the architect on record, and a recent construction photo of the site shows a rendering mounted on the construction fence.

The plans call for an 80-foot-tall building that encompasses over 12,000 square feet of floor area. That includes the 10,551 square feet of residential space as well as a community facility which will span 2,280 square feet. The building will have a setback on the seventh floor along with a rear terrace on the second. Amenities will include cellar residential storage, a first floor lobby and an outdoor recreational area. There will be two apartments each on floors two through six, and two full-floor apartments on the top two levels.
44 East 132nd Street is one of a few new developments in the neighborhood, including the Style Condos at 48 East 132nd Street and another 12-unit rental at 42 East 132nd Street.
