Unbuilt design for 147 Prince Street by Charles Diehl Architect Unbuilt design for 147 Prince Street by Charles Diehl Architect
Above is a rendering of an unbuilt high-rise once planned for in 147 Prince Street Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Charles Diehl Architect, the tower was to rise 40-stories, the height limit of the area east of Flatbush Avenue Ext. While the project was shelved at the onset of the Great Recession, the site’s massive amount of untapped development potential remains.
With the incredible supply of rental units coming to the neighborhood, we’re not holding our breath for a revived project to take off soon. Directly across from the building, Extell is building a 58-story rental-condo tower that will be the tallest in the borough. Also, directly to the north is construction of John Catsimatidis’ 86 Fleet Place and Savanna Fund’s 141 Willoughby Street See all our Downtown Brooklyn concessions here.

The tower lot currently holds a renovated loft building that is home to a location of green desk, a work space community. A new residential building at 137 Willoughby Street is also planned for the block’s southeast corner.
