Hudson Lights Phase II to Bring 26 Floors of Apartments and Commercial Space to Fort Lee

In 2016, the mixed-use development known as Hudson Lights debuted in Fort Lee, NJ with nearly one million square feet of residential, retail and entertainment offerings - and now, a second phase is on the horizon.

Tucker Development led the first phase of Hudson Lights which includes 276 luxury rental residences inside a 12-story building at 2030 Hudson Street, a roughly two-block distance from the George Washington Bridge. Retail is located on the first and second floors of the two-building development; the residential tower anchors one building and the other is anchored by an iPic Theater.

The second phase being led by Eastone Equities is also nearly one million square feet; it includes a 26-story apartment building and commercial space. Phase II replaces a parking lot adjacent to the existing Hudson Lights buildings and according to the developers, construction is set to begin in 2019 and wrap up in 2021. Existing shops and retailers include restaurants, banks, a fitness club and cafes. The next phase includes 201 residential units, 175 hotel rooms and 40,459 square feet of retail space.

Details haven’t been revealed for the new collection of residential units, which may include both rental and condominium residences. The luxury rental collection in the first phase offers homes in studio through three-bedroom layouts with access to shared amenities. Current availability on the Hudson Lights website shows studios starting from $2,088/month, one-bedrooms from $2,126/month, two-bedrooms from $3,171/month and three-bedrooms from $6,078/month.

This part of Fort Lee near the George Washington Bridge has new residential properties including the 194-unit rental Twenty50 at 2050 Central Road and also The Modern rentals, a pair of 47-story buildings with 900 units at 100 Park Avenue and 800 Park Avenue. At Twenty50, rental units are listed starting from $2,135/month for a one-bedroom layout while at The Modern, rental units are listed starting from $2,254/month for a studio.
