Former Madoff co-op still for sale and a TV anchor buys another co-op in Lenox Hill; New Chelsea penthouse will offer a 61-foot private pool and a $50 million price tag.

ABC TV co-anchor and political journo George Stephanopoulos just bought another co-op on the Upper East Side. The 10th floor two-bedroom apartment at 30 East 72nd Street in the Lenox Hill neighborhood changed hands for $2.2 million. The Good Morning America newsman and his wife, comedienne Ali Wentworth, own an additional apartment in the building which they bought for $6.5 million in 2010 (TRD).

Soap opera staple Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord on One Life to Live) recently sold her Lincoln Square pied-a-terre for $1.3 million. Featuring 10-foot ceilings, a wood burning fireplace and soundproofing–the co-op building was originally built for musicians, hence the name–the two-bedroom co-op at the Musicians Building at 50 West 67th Street served as a beloved post-shoot chill-out zone for the six-time Daytime Emmy-winner and her husband (their main residence is in New Canaan, CT) (LuxuryListings).

File under notorious ex-neighbors: Bernie Madoff’s former penthouse is on the market again as subsequent owners try to sell the Lenox Hill co-op at 133 East 64th Street. The listing recently got a price chop–from $17.25 million to $14.5 mil–and a broker switch. The current sellers bought the three-bedroom duplex with an impressive wraparound terrace for $8 million just after the disgraced ponzi-schemer headed for the hoosegow, then set about renovating before putting it on the market again (CurbedNY).

The top-tier penthouse at the Norman Foster-designed 551 West 21st Street will come with a 61-foot-long pool and a $50 million price tag. Recently-released renderings show the pool, which overlooks the Hudson River, as part of over 4,000 square feet of outdoor space. The building’s three penthouses, at 6,200 square-feet each, start at $35 million and have 360-degree city views in addition to just about every high-end feature one could imagine in the kitchen as well as 12-foot ceilings and oak herringbone floors (NYO).

A duplex penthouse at 135 East 79th Street just changed hands for $21.9 million. The five-bedroom 5,188 square-foot 15th floor unit has a private setback terrace and solid white oak floors. A bigger pad (9,000 square feet) atop the condo tower is currently in contract for somewhere near its listing price of $50 million, and three additional penthouses are still up for grabs at $18 million each (TRD).
