Overview of 140 Riverside Boulevard

140 Riverside Boulevard is a 33 story, 354 unit rental tower completed in 2003 as part of Riverside South, the redevelopment of the former rail yards along the Hudson River. Designed by Costas Kondylis & Partners and Philip Johnson Alan Ritchie Architects, the symmetrical gray glass building has a central setback, rounded corners, broad corner windows, and a vaulted crown.

The tower was originally branded as part of Trump Place, the name then used for Riverside South. Its signage was removed in 2016 following a resident petition and the expiration of the use of name agreement. The wider 75 acre Riverside South plan extended from 59th to 72nd Streets and included a new riverfront park.

Apartments range from studios to larger plans, with long entry foyers recurring in both studio and two bedroom configurations. Multiple two bedroom layouts use curved window walls that follow the building's rounded corners. Unit 2103 organizes its open living and dining space along that curve and adjoins it to a 24 foot terrace.

The building has a full time doorman and concierge, a health club, rooftop terrace, children's playroom, resident storage, valet service, a full service garage, and both central laundry and in-unit washers and dryers. Riverside Park South is directly west, Lincoln Center is several blocks east, and a private shuttle runs to the 72nd Street station at Broadway, served by the 1, 2, and 3 trains.
