111 Kent Avenue is a 7 story, 62 unit rental building on the Williamsburg waterfront, directly across from East River State Park. Completed in 2011, it began as a condominium project before being acquired by Largo Investments and Stellar Management and converted to rentals. Architect Michael Muroff gave the building a brick façade and a sharply articulated exterior of angular, floor to ceiling bay windows, rather than the glass curtain walls common to nearby waterfront towers.
The apartments are generally spacious, with most of the homes configured as two bedrooms measuring approximately 1,100 to 1,200 square feet. High ceilings and the projecting bay windows shape the main living spaces, while many apartments have balconies or terraces and views toward the East River, Williamsburg Bridge, East River State Park, and the Manhattan skyline. The apartment interiors include white oak flooring, central AC, in unit washer and dryers, large kitchens with custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, and bathrooms with soaking tubs and radiant heat flooring.
The top floor is set back to accommodate four penthouses with terraces ranging from roughly 700 to 1,000 square feet. The building also has ground floor duplexes, along with one and three bedroom apartments, creating a broader range of layouts than its predominantly two bedroom plan suggests. Pets are allowed.
Building amenities include a 24 hour attended lobby with concierge service, a resident lounge and game room, a fitness center, a yoga studio, resident storage, a bike room, and a full service garage with attended parking. Outdoor features include a landscaped garden, rooftop terraces with BBQ grills, and an outdoor pool. East River State Park is directly across the street, the Williamsburg ferry departs from the waterfront nearby, and the Bedford Avenue station on the L line is about three to four blocks away.
