Its beige and terra cotta patterned façade is punctuated by staggered cantilevered balconies, while the syncopated crown draws on the Art Deco roofline of the nearby McGraw Hill Building. The primary entrance is set behind a landscaped courtyard and circular drive on West 43rd Street.

In July 2025, Hell's Kitchen rental Riverbank was sold to the wealth management division of JPMorgan Chase for $243.5 million. The building dates back to the 1980s, when it was developed by Harry Macklowe. Since then, the surrounding area has seen an influx of new residential development.
