Riverbank is a 44 story, 418 apartment rental tower in Midtown West, designed by Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer and completed in 1987 for the Macklowe Organization. Its beige and terra cotta patterned façade is punctuated by staggered cantilevered balconies, while the syncopated crown draws on the Art Deco roofline of the nearby McGraw Hill Building. The primary entrance is set behind a landscaped courtyard and circular drive on West 43rd Street.
Most apartments have balconies or oversized terraces, with western exposures toward the Hudson River and northeastern views of the Midtown skyline. Renovated layouts range from studios through three bedrooms, and recurring interior attributes include wide plank flooring, generous storage, and kitchen pantries.
The building has a full time doorman, concierge, central air conditioning, garage, laundry room, bike room, and rooftop terrace. A dedicated amenity floor contains an indoor pool, fitness center, sauna, steam room, lounge, private dining and meeting room, gaming area, media lounge, and outdoor dining terrace. Additional services include valet service, package handling, and a dog wash station.
The Hudson River and Intrepid Museum are to the west, Times Square is to the east, and the Javits Center is several blocks south. The A, C, and E trains stop at the 42 Street Port Authority Bus Terminal station on Eighth Avenue. Pets are allowed.
