"Lincoln Spencer Arts is a 12-story residential cooperative building at 140 West 69th Street with 237 apartments.

The ornate, pre-war, Beaux-Arts-style building has a two-story stone base, a pronounced and very decorative bandcourse above the third floor, a lesser one above the 10th floor, and a nice projecting cornice and many bay windows and some wrought-iron balconies." Read Carter's Full Review

"Many studios in the building. Some one and two beds as well. All the apartments have high ceilings so many have sleep lofts. The Penhouse Duplex units have terraces. Some of the units have washer/dryer in the units. Prime UWS location. Two blocks from Central Park. Three blocks from the 72nd 1/2/3/9 subways including the express stop. Also an entrance to the B/C on 70th and CPW. One block from the LOEWS movie theater. There`s a Food Emporium Grocery store on the block. Too many great restaurants to list. Residential area. 69th Street is a great UWS street. Among other things on Halloween from Broadway to Central Park they close the street for children and have a big block party. Things like this happen throughout the year. Beautiful prewar building. Stunning lobby as you enter, always with fresh flowers. Full service building with laundry in the basement. Live- in building super. Relatively easy board."
