Located in Battery Park City between the Esplanade, Rockefeller Park and the Tear Drop Park, the River & Warren building at 22 River Terrace was erected in 2001 and was designed by Gruzen Samton Steinglass.

The 28-story building was developed by Rockrose Development Corporation with 324 rental apartments.

In 2014, Centurion Real Estate Partners and Five Mile Capital Partners LLC converted it to 192 condominium apartments and Cetra/Ruddy was the architect and M. Paul Friedberg was the landscape architect for the conversion.
