80 Central Park West is a 24 story cooperative at the corner of West 68th Street, designed by architects Paul Resnick and Harry F. Green and completed in 1967. The building converted from rental to cooperative ownership in 1979, transforming its original 173 apartments into approximately 160 units today due to combinations over the years. The beige brick tower is notable for having more balconies fronting Central Park than any other building on Central Park West, with many featuring angled designs and wrap around configurations at the southeast corner that maximize park and skyline views.
Apartments range from studios to three bedrooms, with many units featuring the signature balconies, corner floor to ceiling windows, and windowed kitchens. Higher floor units and corner apartments often provide direct Central Park views from multiple rooms, including some bathrooms and kitchens.
80 Central Park West is a full service building with 24 hour doorman service, live-in superintendent, and amenities including a roof deck, parking garage accessible through the building, central laundry room, bike storage, and individual storage units. The building allows pieds-à-terre and allows pets.
Central Park is across the street, and the building is close to Lincoln Center, Columbus Circle, and the Time Warner Center. Multiple subway and bus lines serve the area, while the surrounding Upper West Side neighborhood offers extensive dining, shopping, and cultural amenities along Columbus Avenue and the broader Lincoln Square district.

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.
By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
