On the first day of spring, see listings with front-row seats to the changing season

If it seems like the city's trees are blooming earlier than usual, it's not your imagination: According to Central Park's tracker, the Okame cherry trees west of the Reservoir are already at peak bloom, and trees in two other sections of the park are already in bloom. Time Out notes that peak bloom season typically happens later in March and attributes the earlier blossoms to climate change. Indeed, buds can be seen on all types of trees on a walk in New York.

The changing season is best observed up close. Impressive though the Central Park panoramas are from high-floor homes in Billionaires' Row supertalls, they also put the green space at a greater remove. As if to drive the point home, last week's highest-priced sale was for a home on a low floor of 15 Central Park West that allows for direct, sublime views of Central Park. The following listings also enjoy direct views of greenery, be it a private garden/terrace, trees on surrounding streets, or New York's backyard.
