The very attractive, red-brick building at 555 West 23rd Street was originally conceived as a rental development, but changed to a condominium. 

It has 337 apartments and construction began in 2004 and was completed in 2006. It is a two-building complex with a 14-story section on 23rd Street and a 13-story section on 24th Street separated from a central courtyard. 

Douglaston Development, a Levine Buildings company, served as the developer with Real Evergreen International and GTM Realty Associates. 

It was designed by Stephen B. Jacobs Group and its interiors were designed by Andi Pepper, who also collaborated on the Ganesvoort Hotel in the Meatpacking district to the south.
