1400 on Fifth Overview

This very handsome and large 8-story apartment building at 1400 Fifth Avenue between 115th and 116th Streets was erected in 2003 and has 129 condominium apartments.

It was developed by Full Spectrum of New York and designed by Roberta Washington Associates. 

A “green” and “smart” building, it was built with more than 60 percent of its material being either recycled or recyclable and it consumes 25 percent less energy than the state’s energy code requires. 

The building claimed when it was built that it was “the largest affordable, green residential development” in the country.
