Input Creative Design Studio has released a rendering of a seven-story, 26-unit rental building they are designing in Prospect Heights. Squeezing onto a 45-foot-wide lot at 495 St. Johns Place, the new structure replaces an unremarkable two-floor house and garage that Ranco Capital closed on in October 2017 for $5.45 million.
While Input Creative Design Studio appear to be handling the design, approved building permits list NA Design Studio as the architect of record. The rendering posted to Input’s Instagram show the building will have strong vertical lines finished in a golden sheen. “Art Deco-inspired details, slender windows, neutral color brick. Perfect recipe for extreme elegance,” says Input.
Drawings submitted to the DOB show the structure will extend 80-feet deep into its lot and a light court will be inserted in the building’s center. There will be three to four apartments per floors and a 13-car garage at grade level. The site is located between Washington and Classon avenues, and is a short walk from the Brooklyn Museum of Art and Prospect Park.
