As a higher volume of new residential development comes to Rego Park, sales have launched at Rego Park Plaza. According to Acris, an entity known as Rego Park Plaza Development LLC bought the lot at 97-45 63rd Drive for $999,800 in February 2015 and had the row of multifamily houses demolished. A recent visit revealed that a nearly completed, seven-story building by Queens-based Architects Studio PC has risen in their place. Plans filed with the city indicate that a 12,000-square-foot ambulatory care facility will occupy the first two floors, and the 50 condos start on the third floor.

Rego Park Plaza’s location offers the best of both worlds: The tree-lined street is mostly residential, allowing for peace and privacy. However, the building is two blocks from the 63rd Drive - Rego Park subway station, making for an easy trip to Manhattan. Closer to home, Flushing Meadow Corona Park and Queens Center are not far from the building.
