With Essex Crossing’s billion-dollar master plan in full swing and ODA’s spirited 100 Norfolk nearing completion, the Manhattan approach to the Williamsburg Bridge is undergoing an incredible transformation. Just north of the bridge overpass, near Delancey Street, developer Morris Platt is building an 8-story rental building at 91-95 Attorney Street. Platt picked up the long-decrepit lot for $4 million in 2013, when it held a graffiti-covered garage and a vacant lot, and is now planning a building with 44 rental units.
Recently-approved permits show Marin Architects will design the project; their Architzer page includes several renderings, showcasing a symmetrical massing and three types of alternating masonry materials. Many of the units will have balconies and some will have terraces, each floor will have either 5 or 6 apartments, and communal amenities will include a recreation room and a bike room.
