In an attempt to do their part to flatten the curve and stem the COVID-19 crisis, condos and rentals all over New York are offering video and virtual tours to let clients see listings safely. The trend has crossed the river into Bayonne, NJ: Lofts Two22 has closed its leasing office, but is offering virtual home and amenity tours via YouTube videos. If would-be tenants like what they see, they can complete the application process electronically.
Such is the latest example of Lofts Two22 responding to the times to offer prospective tenants exactly what they need and want. The six-story building itself came about as LanTree Developments' response to the demand for upscale housing in Bayonne, which is emerging as an alternative to Manhattan. The light rail system is surely a factor, and Lofts Two22 is just up the street from the 22nd Street stop.
The collection of 70 one- to two-bedroom apartments boasts 22’ ceilings, thoughtful floor plans, generous closet space, in-unit washer/dryers, and hardwood flooring throughout. The kitchens come outfitted with breakfast bars and stainless steel appliances. Select units have private terraces.
Residential amenities include a fitness center with Peloton bikes, a lounge with pool table and fireplace, and a roof deck with Manhattan views. Lofts Two22 welcomes pets, and garage parking is available for an additional fee.
The official leasing launch has only recently taken place, but Lofts Two22 is already around 30% leased. Remaining availabilities start at $1,999/month for one-bedrooms and $2,695/month for two-bedrooms (as compared to the respective New York median rents of $3,298/month and $3,750/month, per CityRealty listings). Grand opening specials include one to two months free rent on select apartments, one free parking space, and waived amenity and pet fees.
