Listings in converted townhouses to inspire in National Poetry Month

Listings for a new generation of poets (120 Prospect Park West, #2 - Douglas Elliman) Listings for a new generation of poets (120 Prospect Park West, #2 - Douglas Elliman)
April has been designated National Poetry Month throughout the United States, and New York City is an especially good place for it — the Poetry Society of New York is holding events throughout the month, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe's slams and open mic nights are going strong, and we can look forward to the reopening of Poets House later this summer following repairs.

The city has also been home to some of the country's greatest poets. Walt Whitman was a longtime Brooklyn resident, and the Manhattan townhouses where Emma Lazarus and Langston Hughes lived and wrote have been designated New York City Landmarks. 75 ½ Bedford Street is not an official New York City Landmark, but has been dubbed Millay House in honor of Edna St. Vincent Millay, one of its most famous residents.
It must be noted that today's real estate prices put full townhouses out of reach for most poets. However, a number of townhouses throughout the city have been converted to multi-family buildings. We take a look at listings in converted townhouses that can't help but inspire poetry.
