With some predicting the darkest days of the COVID-19 crisis still to come, there's no denying that New York's real estate market is feeling the pain. It's still too soon to say what long-term effects this will have, but we do know that over the past week, there were only 181 new listings, or roughly one third of the number we'd typically see.

However, at the sight of some of the apartments and townhouses that have just come on the market, the phrase "quality over quantity" springs immediately to mind. In addition to interiors with enviable appliances, finishes, and infrastructure, the following listings have their own large terraces with sweeping views and room for dining and lounging. The value of private outdoor space cannot possibly be overstated in this time of social distancing, and this is one amenity many will be happy to keep when the restrictions lift and we can enjoy each other's physical company again.
