As of December 1, 2021, CityRealty listings show 8,832 publicly listed condos, co-ops, condops, and townhouses for sale in core areas of New York City. Manhattan's median condo price comes in at $2,368,713, and a median price per square foot of $1,854 both are up slightly from the beginning of November 2021. The Manhattan co-op median price is also up from November 2021, coming in at $899,692.

Last week, 119 sales listings throughout New York experienced price cuts. Among them was the Financial District loft of Bettina Werner, a Milan-born artist also known as the "Salt Queen" for her innovative use of colored and texturized salt crystals in her work. Ms. Werner was one of the first residents to move in when Downtown by Starck was converted from the headquarters of J.P. Morgan's banking segment to luxury condos, and has lived and worked in the loft ever since. It has been on and off the market since 2017 (h/t New York Post), and recently had the price reduced by $200K. Her art is on display in the listing photos, and she has been posting her work to social media until it's safe to have a large show again.
