Mr. Band and his wife, Lily Band, bought the townhouse from the estate of banker/philanthropist David Rockefeller for $20 million in 2018 and spent the next four years renovating it. The buyer was identified as Australian tech entrepreneur Bijan Tehrani.

According to Promix Nutrition’s website, Albert Matheny founded the company after being unable to find products that met his exacting standards for quality, performance, and safety. He appears to have brought the same standards to his real estate – after he bought the apartment from Kanye West for $3 million, he embarked on an extensive renovation. It appears to have paid off: Unlike the disgraced rapper, who took a loss on the Claudio Silvestrin-designed home, public records show that Mr. Matheny has made a generous profit on it.
