While many rental buildings emphasize close proximity to popular restaurants run by celebrity chefs, RXR Realty has taken that one step further at 475 Clermont. The developer has partnered with Resident, a Brooklyn-based supper club that supports up-and-coming chefs, to put on a series of monthly, residents-only dining experiences put on by a live-in chef. Starting this month, the building welcomes Adriana Urbina, acclaimed chef and three-time winner of the Food Network's Chopped.

Ms. Urbina is the only Latin-American female chef to ever have won Chopped. In addition to her television appearances, she has attracted attention for her creative dishes rooted in her Venezuelan heritage and her activism to support immigration reform, women's rights, and aid to her home country. She is the founder of Tepuy Dining, a pop-up and private dining initiative that she founded and was invited to bring the concept of to ten international cities. Prior to her participation in the culinary resident program at 475 Clermont, she was executive chef at De Maria, a James Beard Award-winning Nolita restaurant.

RXR Realty and Resident launched the culinary residence program last year. The dinners are open to all residents by reservation with up to 10 seats available. Every resident will get two tickets to a dinner distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The series of dinners and wine pairings will take place in a luxurious one-bedroom apartment where Ms. Urbina is a full-time resident. Like that in all 363 units, her kitchen is finished with abundant milled cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops, stainless steel appliances, and farm sink with pull-down faucet. Furnishings by Hem and artwork by local artists have transformed it into a welcoming venue.
In addition to the dinner events, 475 Clermont’s extensive amenities package includes an attended lobby, business center, indoor/outdoor fitness center, indoor/outdoor children’s playroom, and pet spa. It is topped by a roof terrace and lounge with outdoor screening area, grilling stations, dining areas, bocce courts, and game tables. Leasing got off to a robust start, and current availabilities range from $2,905/month for a studio to $6,455/month for a two-bedroom. The building is now offering up to two months free rent.
