Rental Building News and Offers

Listings are on the market for The Academy, a new 7-story rental development in Astoria - and with HTO Architect celebrating the final certificate of occupancy, move-ins are likely soon approaching. The 55-unit building offers reasonably priced apartments that, when first launched, were priced from $1,800 per month for a studio. Leasing continues and is full force, handled by Modern Spaces. Studios are still available, though now priced starting from $2,100/month, 1-bedrooms start at $2,500/month, 2-bedrooms at $3,350/month and 3-bedrooms at $4,500/month.
Interiors feature open layouts with high ceilings, large windows, white oak plank floors and built-in AC units. Kitchens have lacquer cabinets, Caesarstone countertops and stainless steel GE and Blomberg appliances. Several rear facing units have private terraces, and there is a common roof deck with views of Manhattan. Amenities include a video intercom, a fitness center, laundry rooms, a library, and parking for both bicycles and vehicles.
The building is in a residential area of the neighborhood and replaces medical offices and a parking lot. The Academy was developed by Ridge Realty Management and was designed by HTO Architect. It features a red brick façade and a glass curtain wall, and sits at 25-35 31st Avenue at the intersection of 29th Street.
