Icon stands 43-stories and 566 feet above Midtown at Eighth Avenue and West 48th Street. The skyscraper has been knighted the nickname “sliver” due to its super-slim proportions yielding a 1:18 height-width ratio. The building, completed in 2012, was designed by architect Ismael Leyva and developed by Esplanade Capital.
It hosts 122 apartments, and with only three per floor, residents are provided with a unique sense of privacy. Current prices start at $3,985/month for one-bedroom units. Prices are net effective and reflect up to 2 months free on 14-month leases. All units are no fee.

Inside Icon's light-bathed residences are high ceilings, glass window walls, hardwood floors, solar shades, customizable closets, and in-home laundry units. The bathrooms are finished with Italian porcelain tile, wedge wood cabinetry, and Kohler fixtures. The units are outfitted with modern appliances, durable faucets, marble countertops, and vented range hoods. Residents will have a comfortable living environment with soundproof climate control, private balconies on more than half of the building's units, and a common landscaped sky deck on the 44th floor that provides unrivaled views of the city.
Icon’s amenities do not end with the views. The tower also offers two high-speed elevators, a 24-hour attended lobby with concierge services, and a live-in superintendent. Also present is a fitness center complete with Cybex cardio and weight-training equipment, Pilates equipment, yoga mats, free-weights, and medicine balls.
Situated near Times Square, Icon makes for an endlessly stimulating living experience. Nearby are the theaters of Broadway, and a few blocks north is Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Central Park and Hudson River Park are within walking distance, as are many shops, restaurants, and the offices of Midtown.
