Everything Must Go
The Lower East Side has a new auction house. The clever folks at Grand Opening (who previously brought a drive-in theater and ping-pong to the space), have created Everything Must Go with the intention of offering up “the rarest, coolest stuff” they can find. The old-school estate-style auction will happen every Saturday, but you can stop by during the week to peek at what will be on the block.

Themes like “country home,” offer countrified tables, tableware and oil paintings of houses that come with the chance to buy the painting, the frame or even the house itself. Next up: “Household Wares from the Estate of Squire Van Tuyl 19th century estate collection from historic Pond Eddy, New York on the shores of the famed Delaware River.” The fine print: ”Items may be possessed by previous owners. The Lower East Side Auction House is not responsible for any powers or wishes granted by items sold.” Sold!
