Miss Lonelyhearts: Charming Accessories in the LES

A new Broome Street boutique shows off an experienced designer’s curatorial eye and love for pretty things.
Miss Lonelyhearts, a new jewel-box sized shop at 250 Broome Street offers bags, bijoux, and other baubles as well as lingerie-inspired apparel for girls with a yen for wearable sweetness. Owner Jenny Yuen, who has designed handbags since 2006, named her newest adventure after an advice-for-the-lovelorn columnist from a 1930s novel. Her limited-edition buttery-soft lambskin handbags can be found here among the gilt-edged floral print wallpaper and potted plants, as well as this year’s high-wasted jeans and a selection of the aforementioned jewelry and accessories by local designers.
