Natural Beauty Blitz: Aesop Shop Open in NoLiTA

Cult-favorite beauty line Aesop has opened its NoLiTa boutique as part of a four-store North American expansion.

Fans of Aussie apothecary/skin care line Aesop have been excitedly awaiting the company’s four-pronged conquest of New York City with four stand-alone boutiques (top shops like Barneys and A.P.C. currently carry the line). The wait is finally over: The NoLiTa Aesop shop is open. Fans of the plant-based, antioxidant-packed beauty line were previously appeased with the recent arrival of a Grand Central Station kiosk, and two more locations are slated to open later this fall, one on University Place and another on Bleecker Street.

Aesop is known for architecturally distinct store decor; a location in Melbourne is constructed of industrial-strength cardboard; a space in Taipei features walls made of books. The newest New York City outpost is no exception: Its countertops and other surfaces consist entirely of pages from the New York Times. Aesop Favorites include the handy Jet Set Kit and the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant range, but the new shop will stock the entire line. (via Stylelist)
