Alexa Chung gets EVill; Geraldo investigates the Upper East Side; Jennifer Esposito checks out Chelsea; Anderson Cooper’s firehouse facelift revealed

Brit It-girl, MTV personality and Madewell spokesmodel Alexa Chung has left the ‘Burg for the East Village. Post-breakup with Arctic Monkeys front man Alex Turner, Ms. Chung recently purchased a 719 square foot 1-bedroom condo on East 3rd Street for $600,000 (NYObserver).

Fox commentator Geraldo Rivera and wife Erica have ventured out of Edgewater, NJ to buy a 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath condop at 45 East 89th Street for $3.4 million. The 1,650 square-foot Upper East Side apartment features a terrace overlooking Central Park (NYObserver).

Blue Bloods star Jennifer Esposito was recently seen touring a rental unit in the Chelsea Muse. The two-bedroom, two-bath apartment at the recently-opened modern rental building, just a short stroll from the High Line Park, is renting for $5,310 a month (NYPost).

Art world bigwig Larry Gagosian just closed the deal on the newsworthy purchase of the Harkness Mansion, a 20,000+ square-foot townhouse at 4 East 75th Street. The art dealer/gallery owner snatched up the 50-foot-wide manse for $36.5 million, $16.5 million less than what Wall Streeter J. Christopher Flowers paid in 2006 (NYPost).

Anderson Cooper’s fixed-up firehouse is almost ready for its close-up. The scaffolding was removed from the 1906-built Fire Patrol House #2 at 84 West 3rd Street in Greenwich Village after a year of buffing and blasting to reveal the building’s original details as part of a complete renovation by the blue-eyed journalist (CurbedNY).
