Just in time for opening day, a “subway series” battle pits Mets against Yankees to determine who’s made the best NYC real estate catches. Compare Derek NYC condos at Trump Workd Tower Jeter's condo at Trump World Tower (shown) to David Wright's pad at Infinity Flats, and apartments owned by the likes of A-Rod, Johan Santana, Jorge Posada, and even old-timers like Mike Piazza, David Cone, and Keith Hernandez (Curbed).

Jude Law, known recently for his role as Dr. Watson in the new Sherlock Holmes films, is looking for clues on a downtown rental. The actor, in town for a new film, toured some West Village apartments, including an 1853 townhouse triplex at 109 Greenwich Avenue. The 2,600 square-foot, four-bedroom apartment with a private garden rents for $10,500 per month (NYPost).

Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl just purchased a two-bedroom, 1,099 square-foot apartment at The Edge condo in Williamsburg. He’ll be neighbors with One Tree Hill actor James Lafferty, who lives in a two-bedroom unit in the same building (NYPost).
