A-Rod catches a windfall on Rushmore condo flip; Brooke Shields sells SoHo co-op. . . NYC condos Soho, UWS, Tribeca

Alex Rodriguez just scored big with the sale of his four-bedroom condo at the Rushmore on the Upper West Side, which he purchased for $5.5 million in March. The Yankees third baseman called the 35th floor apartment–with its glass walls and 360-degree views–home for less than a year before he listed it for $8 million (WSJ).

Brooke Shields and husband Chris Henchy just sold their Soho co-op for $2.95 million. The couple had vacated it last year for a four-story Greek Revival townhouse on West 10th Street. The just-sold three-bedroom apartment at 458 Broadway features a 1,500-bottle wine cellar (CurbedNY).

If you’ve got $8.75 million to move into the 3,100 square-foot condo at River Lofts at 92 Laight Street in TriBeCa, you'll be in stellar company. Actress Meryl Streep, who just set the record for most Oscar nominations with 17, owns a penthouse apartment in the building (Refinery29).
