A record sale (and a Leo DiCaprio sighting) in Gramercy; former Madoff penthouse back on the market.

Star danseur Mikhail Baryshnikov and wife Lisa Rinehart have sold their prewar co-op at the Armstead at 245 West 104th Street. The couple’s uptown pied-à-terre was listed at $1.15 million and sold for $1.265 million after a bidding war. The 1,125-square-foot two-bedroom apartment has a large windowed kitchen and high ceilings and the building offers a roof deck (NYPost).

The latest Leo (DiCaprio) sighting: The actor’s home hunt homed in on the Ian Schrager building at 50 Gramercy Park North (pictured), where he toured a $14.9 million duplex penthouse. The 4,235-square-foot three-bedroom apartment offers two private terraces, at least two fireplaces and Gramercy Park views (NYPost).

Big Tickets

Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander finally closed on his $42 million penthouse at 18 Gramercy Park. The sale represents the highest price paid for a downtown Manhattan condo (CurbedNY).

The Upper East Side penthouse at 133 East 64th Street that once belonged to Bernie Madoff is on the market for $17.25 million. The Lenox Hill co-op was sold as seized property to Alfred and Patsy Kahn in 2010 for $8 million. The classic prewar duplex has high ceilings and palladian windows; minor renovations have been made by the Kahns, including paint and floor renovation (NYO).
