Woody Allen’s son buys on the UWS; John Mayer sells his Nolita condo; Michael Strahan finds a buyer for his TriBeCa loft; rent the penthouse where Emery Roth once lived.

Ronan Farrow, son of legendary filmmaker Woody Allen and Mia Farrow, has just purchased a 982-0square-foot two-bedroom condo at the Hudson at 225 West 60th Street for $1.5 million. Farrow, an attorney and Rhodes scholar, is preparing to launch his own talk show on MSNBC (NYPost).

Seven-time Grammy-winner John Mayer recently sold his two-bedroom corner unit at the Spring at 225 Lafayette Street for $3,910,000. Mayer, who bought the condo nine years ago, netted $1.8 million on the deal. Celebrity residents at the downtown building include Dakota Fanning and Theodora Richards (daughter of Keith Richards) (CurbedNY).

Former New York Giants defensive end and current talk show host Michael Strahan sold his Tribeca Space loft at 25 Murray Street for $2.3 million, $500,000 above the 1,911-square-foot two-bedroom condo’s most recent asking price. Strahan first put the unit on the market in 2009 for $1.85 million (CurbedNY).

You can rent the Upper West Side penthouse that once belonged to Emery Roth, legendary architect of iconic apartment buildings like the Eldorado, the Beresford and the San Remo, for $15,500 a month. The 2,200-square-foot three-bedroom unit at 210 West 101st Street has a wraparound terrace, vaulted-ceilings, carved woodwork and a working fireplace and is currently undergoing renovations (CurbedNY)

A $50.9 million sale at Walker Tower is the new record-holder for downtown home sales. Penthouse One atop the popular Chelsea condo conversion at 212 West 18th Street (Uma Thurman just purchased a unit) was first listed at $55 million in September and entered contract less than a month later. The 5,955-square-foot five-bedroom apartment occupies the entire 24th floor of the building and offers a south-facing terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides with Statue of Liberty, Chrysler Building and Empire State Building views (WSJ).

Uptown, an apartment which is said to belong to HRH Princess Firyal of Jordan just hit the market for $70. The duplex unit occupying the 30th and 31st floor of the Pierre at 795 Fifth Avenue is a 7,000-square-foot co-op with 360-degree Manhattan skyline and Central Park views (TRD).
