NYC Living This Week

MAY 1, 2012

May is Bike Month! Wherever you are in NYC, you’re only two wheels away from a cycling event, party, workshop or tour.

City-wide

The city’s parks are getting into the act with a calendar of events like learn-to-ride workshops for kids, plus a guide to the trails and bike lanes of NYC. Attention commuters: May 20 is National Bike to Work Day.

TD Five Boro Bike Tour
America’s largest cycling event begins at dawn on May 6. It’s a great way to see the city and get your wheels spinning. Serious riders can join the 145-mile Montauk Century on May 15, which you’ll know you’ve finished when you hit the ocean.

Lower Manhattan/Seaport

Bike Expo New York
Head to Pier 36 on the East River on May 3-5 for three days of two-wheeled fun and information. Find out more about the in-the-works bike share program, plus performances, giveaways and more.
